Described as a “substantial former care home with sea views,” the building, which was constructed in the 1960s, spans over 12,000 square feet across four storeys.

It features six large communal lounges, two spacious dining rooms, a commercial kitchen, and 29 single bedrooms, each with en-suite facilities.

Additionally, the property boasts two expansive self-contained apartments on the top floor, several offices, storage rooms, and numerous communal bathrooms and WCs.

Situated on a site exceeding half an acre, the property provides ample off-street parking along with three double garages. An additional plot of land, previously part of the garden of a neighbouring bungalow, is included in the sale, enhancing the property’s appeal and potential for further development.

This versatile building presents a range of opportunities for investors and developers, including the possibility of converting it into luxury apartments, reinstating it as a care home, or transforming it into a boutique hotel, pending the necessary planning permissions.

Prior to the sale, the current owners had commissioned plans to alter and extend the upper floor to create two two-bedroom penthouse apartments.
