The 112 year old Bridlington sailing coble Three Brothers went back into the harbour this morning (23rd October) after a major three month refit and looked resplendent in her new colour scheme of pale blue.

A blessing was given by Rev Miriam Thurlow of Bridlington Christ Church and Mr Neil Orum, Chairman of the Bridlington Harbour Commissioners (BHC), addressed those present.
Slowly but surely, Three Brothers was lowered into the harbour by the BHC hoist and took to the water once again. She was very soon back on her berth and will be gracing the waters of Bridlington Bay under sail very soon.

A great achievement by the Bridlington Sailing Coble Preservation Society in completing the much needed refit lead by John Clarkson, retired coble builder, and his volunteer team of Society members’. All the work has been funded by the UK Government under the Shared Prosperity Fund’.
