A Bridlington accountancy company has presented the Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) with a cheque for over over £5,000.

Lloyd Dowson Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers held a fundraising golf charity day at the Bridlington Belvedere Golf Club in the summer, with the air ambulance and crew calling in to thank Lloyd Dowson Chairman David Dowson and the fundraisers for their support.
Julie Brown, one of the Lloyd Dowson staff, was more than delighted to see the Air Ambulance as several years ago a crew had helped to save her life after an accident.

Said David: “The Yorkshire Air Ambulance is one of our favourite charities as they rescued one our team and saved her life. We are eternally grateful for the brilliant work they do.

“It was a fabulous day, finished with the arrival of the air ambulance for which our generous clients and staff raised £5,269.50. Thanks again to everyone concerned.”
And to keep a local theme, one of the Air Ambulance paramedics who visited on the helicopter at the charity golf day also lives in Bridlington.

Sam Berridge has worked with Yorkshire Air Ambulance for over three years and was delighted to be briefly on ‘home ground’ as part of the visit.
