After donating over one hundred pints of blood a Bridlington man has been honoured for his services.

Colin Thompson attended a special luncheon and awards ceremony at Beverley Racecourse recently and was presented with a medal and certificate in recognition of his incredible donations of 105 pints of blood over the past forty years.

“Over 400 new donors are required every day just to keep the supply going – so I would urge as many people as possible to call down to blood donation sessions and register.” said Colin.

Colin, who attended the presentation ceremony with his wife Maureen, donates blood at least twice a year, and was one of around 90 donors at the event from the Yorkshire area who were recognised for their service.
